Why photovoltaic systems?
The photovoltaic panels produce electricity from the free und inexhaustible energy from the sun. Even more – the PV are capable of converting both direct and diffuse light (sunlight partially scattered by cloud, smog, dust, etc.) into electricity. Therefore the solar panels can be effective even on a cloudy day.
Photovoltaic systems make no noise and cause no air pollution emissions in operation. As the number of kilowatts of PV electricity increase, the use of traditional fuels is offset, thus decreasing the emissions generated by traditional fossil fuels.
Another great advantage of the photovoltaic in Bulgaria– there is a legal obligation on utilities to purchase 100% of the electricity produced by photovoltaic installations for a period of 25 years.
Further more- the electricity utility in Bulgaria buys PV electricity at a guaranteed rate (Feed-in Tariff). The higher price helps overcome the cost disadvantages of renewable energy sources.
